Brandon,FLI love the way these feel on my feet. I have used these since my first pair of pointe shoes and will continue to use them. Plus they are cheaper at Discount Dance than at my local dance store.

05/12/2023As a professional dancer I was having serious problems with a toenail that was consistently bruised and a pressure pain that was sending sharp pains up the center of my toe (almost as if stepping on a needle). I didn't think I wanted to go back to gel based toe pads, and there was definitely some getting used to because there is a bit of movement as the gel shifts (especially the first few wears), but this has given me enough padding to do all that I need to do en pointe but without the pain. And the bruise is finally starting to heal as well (first time in almost 2 years). I love that these have no seam as I was starting to get abrasion injury from the seam on basic thin toepads such as Gaynor pink pads.

Portland,ORYou know, I wouldn't necessarily rate these as bad if they weren't advertised as ultra thin. These toe pads are much thicker than the Pointe Pockets by Gaynor Minder. I mostly wear lambswool, but I have some shoes wear I need a bit more padding, the fit isn't as snug, and I wanted to explore very thin gel toe pads. This is not it. It's been a long time since I've worn ouch pouches, so I don't have them to compare, but these can't be thinner, and if it's not thinner than an ouch pouch (a very in the middle of the road level of padding), than I don't see how they can call themselves ultra thin.
I received mine in white, which was nice. The purple was my first choice, but you can't go wrong with plain white. When I tried them on sock side in, I felt a lot of sliding and springiness in my shoe. I felt very unstable. When I flipped them over, it was better. My toes sunk into the gel, that's how thick this pad is! So if you're buying them thinking you won't have the sweaty gel up against your feet, that might not be the case. IMO it's like they took the fabric side off of a thicker toe pad, and then used that as the deciding factor in it being ultra thin. It's unbelievable really.

06/02/2020These are my daughter's favorite toe pads. She loves how thin they are. The colors are fun and do not show through her tights. They hold up as well as similar styles. We now order a pair or two with every order we place so we always have have some in reserve.

Singapore,I didn't feel any pain in my feet at all even though I usually have pain on the tips of my toes. This item really saved my feet from a lot of pain and would recommend this to anyone who does ballet. Great product, I surely loved it.

Stockton,CAThese are the only toe pads that do not make pointe work painful. I haven't gotten any blisters or bruised toenails since I started wearing them! They are not too bulky, but still provide enough comfort. The only issue is the gel will begin to rip and create holes, which causes me pain. Because of this, I keep the same pair for a month, and then get new ones.

03/11/2019Excellent pads. These pads are skim and very well made. The gel inside lasts, and my daughter can squeeze a lot of life out of these pads. They last a few months, if you care for them. If your shoes do not allow for much extra room, try these pads!

06/07/2017I have been using Ouch Pouches but I was looking for a toe pad that was not as thick and bulky. I thought this is just what I need. However, I was very wrong. I got them in lavender which I was lucky because you don't get to pick the color and I wanted lavender. Then when I put them on to try, I couldn't cover my toes as far as I would have liked to. Also, when I went en pointe, I felt almost as if I was sinking and moving around in the toe pad mainly because of the gel. Then when I went to take my shoe off, the toe pad already had a dark spot on it. I don't even know what it was from as I literally just got them that day in the mail and had not put them on at all until now. I frankly was very disappointed in the quality of them. However, I gave them to my friend and she absolutely loves them. I will keep looking for a toe pad now and will not be buying again. I also had a hard time feeling the floor in these. I don't even know how that's possible as the toe pad is so light. I will recommend them to the girls in my class who don't like to feel the floor and who want a very very thin layer.

Hermosa Beach,CAI have been using these toe pads for about 8 years. I love them!! Although I have tried others, I have found that these are not too thick or thin. I wear them with the gel side against my skin, inside of my tights. One of my favorite parts about them is their malleability which allows me to pull them up to cover my bunions and the outside of my feet, which helps to prevent blisters. They do wear quickly, but I only get a hole where my big toe is. I rotate them so the hole is not over the big toe, and they will last a few months. If I took better care of them (baby powder, etc), they would probably last even longer. I love these and would recommend them to beginners and professional dancers alike!!

06/11/2014So I have been a long time no-toepad-user (yes I saw that disgusted face) for almost two years now. I wanted something very light to put in my shoes to 1) Absorb some sweat and 2) to provide a very thin layer. I thought they would be much thinner. I dint like how thick they were, so I cut off the entire gel shell (it was tricky) and used the little sock thingy left behind. Now that little sock thingy is perfect for me, and I have ben using the same pair since February (it's June right now). So to sum it up, the toe pads aren't extremely thin, but if you're like me, the sock underneath might be perfect!

12/03/2013I wear Gaynor Mindens and these are the perfect level of padding with my pointe shoes; my toes don't hurt very often when wearing them and my toes never feel over protected or restricted. Although these toe pads are nearly perfect, they have to be replaced often because they gel starts to wear off from the fabric. I usually get the larger size to cover up the side of my foot from getting blisters.

11/07/2013These fit my square shaped size 11.5 or 12 Narrow width feet like no other pads I have tried. They stretch and conform to my feet very nicely. You would think being a narrow would mean that most anything would fit but with my mostly square shaped wide spaced out toes... not so much. I have taken to wearing these with just about any shoe that has ever caused me a blister too; no matter if it is a pointe shoe, tap shoe or a street shoe. I am a baby about blisters.

10/03/2013What I love about these is that they provide good protection from rubbing while not being so thick that they keep you from feeling the floor. Also, they don't have a seam around the front of the toe, so no rubbing. I wear them with the knit cotton side in, because I find silicone gel very icky against bare, sweaty toes. Tights or a thin toe sock over the gel keeps it from sticking to the inside of the shoe or tearing. They last well if you keep them dry (e.g take them out of your bag and air them out after each wearing), wash them in cool water with mild soap occasionally, and store them, when dry, in a plastic bag with a little talc in it to keep them from getting gummy. I wear them in my Bloch European Balance and my Grishko Elites and they're perfect for both types of shoe (the Blochs have a more padded toe, the Grishkos let you feel the floor more).

04/01/2013I love these toe pads! They work very well and aren't to thick in your shoes. The only reason I couldn't give these 5 stars is because after I wore them 3 times the squishy stuff started to peal of but if u coat them in baby powder after each use then the will last longer!!!!!

03/26/2013I just got these in the mail and I have used them once so far. They are so comfortable! Normally I have to take my pointe shoes off and adjust my toe pads, but these stayed in place. 09/02/2012I got these as my first toe pads and they are super squishy. I ordered a M/L and they work perfectly. I wear a street size 8.5 and these were the only ones that fit me since my feet are wide. The gel is thin but it's super squishy. They take all the pain of pointe away but you can still feel the floor. Make sure you baby powder them!!
I also ordered lambs wool and it went flat after one use and I ordered Jr Ouch Pouches and they didn't even cover my toes and my toes are short. I will stick with these unless I find better ones.

08/09/2012At myfirst pointe shoe fitting last week they gave me lambs wool toe pad. I had one class in them and my feet (sides of big toe and tops on my other toes) were dying. I bought these in hope they would fell better on my jointy, toes. These are awesome!!!!!!! I went through class with no pain and almost no blisters (my box and shank is still hard, it'll get better). I am worried about reading other comments about these ripping fast. It's not like my family is made of money. But these are fairly cheap. I love it!!!!! I started pointe last week and I am 14 (kinda late, started ballet at age twelve)

08/08/2012I used these toe pads for a while i did like them I liked that you could feel the floor more in them the issue is they have the shortest lifespan ever you can't keep them for long.
another problem was the fabric started to sorta curl up at the top which created discomfort because of the friction and there were times I would bleed which is why I stopped using them.
they just didn't work for me but if you can give them a try, I did like them at first.

05/10/2012I have been on pointe for two years. For almost all that time, I have been wearing these toe pads! They work great. :) Now that I'm 13 and dancing 16 hours a week, they don't last very long :(
They usually last tops 3 months and by then they are dirty and falling apart but they start to get ugly after 1.5 months. Unless you can't stand the site of a dirty/ripped/broken toe pad, these are GREAT!

04/10/2012I wore these toe pads after being quite disapointed with pointe comfort featherlites. Within 2 weeks, the gel side of the pad was extremely dirty and peeling off around the edges. I have went through these types of toe pads( pointe comfort, ouch pouch jr., pointe comfort featherlites, and skinny dips.) My fave had to be the ouch pouches even though the seam can be somewhat uncomfortable. Plz don't waste your money on these. Get ouch pouches!!!!!

04/06/2012I was looking for a thinner toe pad. And these are just right for my liking. They are great if you want to feel the floor! Although the gel wears off pretty fast. But for the price I will keep buying these as long as I dance!!

03/26/2012these were the toe pad they gave everyone the year i started pointe. they help you feel the floor which i have to in order to dance (its kind of like a mental block) the only problem is if you have a sharp or too long toes nail it just rips the gel up. i would recomend putting baby powder on them after use, it keeps them cleaner because they are sticky. I have tried on other girls toe pads and i have to got back to these. there is just enough padding to protect your toes from rubbing too bad and cousion the floor just enough. i recomend them highly to anyone who want to stay true to the roots of ballet but with a modern twist.

01/31/2012I love these toe pads. I have a horrible time finding toe pads because I always get pain in my foot if my toe pad is too thin or too thick. These seem to be perfect, but do not seem to last long. About every 3-4 weeks I find myself needing new ones. Their reasonably priced so its not so bad, but If you dance often you will need new ones a lot!

01/25/2012I bought these because I saw many people at my studio with them. They fit great but no matter what way you put them on you have a sinking feeling. There was no pain but every step I took I could not feel the floor which is important because you need to know where you are stepping. What I ended up doing was peeling the gel off and just using the white part. That helps me prevent the blisters.

Winston,SalemI recently decided to go from using two toe pads (Feather Lites and Bunhead Ouch Pouch) to just one. I saw a girl that wore these at my studio and decided just to try it out. Now everyone thinks my toes are really tough because the gel appears so thin but there is hardly any pain. The same amount of pain that I had with two toe pads at once. I do have to wear a gel tip on my right big toe but that's only because there's blood under the nail from a non-dance related accident. I love these and get two or three pairs at a time.

Ca,I LOVE THESE! They are great! I wear a size 8.5W and the M/L fit perfectly. I have no clue why everyone is saying they don't last long, because mine are going on 6 months with 2 hours of pointe a week! They have not gotten holes, rips or anything! The only thing is that the gel seems to separate a little at the ends of the pad if you cut it to size. I am just ordering more now because after awhile the gel seems to wear down therefore causing less cushion and more pain! I combine these pads with the big tip and sometimes big toe separaters. All I can say is.. GET THEM!

Greenville, Sc,Ok...to all of those saying that these are very thick...maybe you got a size way too big. I am a size 7 and I wear a small. I would have to agree that they were too thick when I got a medium but the smalls are just perfect. I have been using these ever since they came out (even before they were on Discount Dance). I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. They are now the only pads I wear. Now I HATE gel pads. I think they are so bad because you cannot feel the floor at all but with these I can feel the floor extremely well. They are THINNER than ouch pouch. Plus I can no longer wear ouch pouch because every time I do the seams on the sides give me horrible blisters. I would recommend these toe pads to anyone on pointe whether you are a beginner or a professional. Although the gel does tend to peel, I have found that you can place them on your feet multiple ways. For example rather than sliding your toes straight into the middle you can put them towards the top of the toe pad having more of the toe pad on the bottom of your foot...if that makes any since at all. But to sum it up, this toe pad to me is the best by far. I wouldn't use anything else.

04/27/2009I used these my first year on pointe and overall was pretty satisfied. They have lasted for about 8 months and are still in pretty good shape. The only negative about them was that they stuck out the top of my pointe shoes a bit so I cut them to size like it says on the packaging they come in. Then, the fabric folded over and dug into my foot uncomfortably during class, and then the gel started to peel off the fabric! However, I would still recommend them, they are very comfortable and make pointe almost pain free.

12/22/2008I think they are fabulous but after a while they start to rip (the gel) and then you have this thin piece of fabric and you really feel the ground while you are up on point. I will recommend but get the ones that are longer not the ones that are shorter. If you get the short ones the toepad will probably come off of your pinky toes and your side bone next to your big toe. I have an idea to keep them on, using tape and just taping them to your feet but I haven't tested it yet. Make sure you have baby powder too. Because if they start to stink, just put baby power on it and they will smell refreshed.

Oregon,After a long search for the perfect toe pads and pointe shoes, I'm finally satisfied. Gellows used to be the only pad that provided enough cushion to prevent my toenails from feeling like razorblades, but they seemed too thick. I tried Ouch Pouches, but they were too thin. These are just right, and although they do get holes fairly easily and sometimes slide around a bit, they are still worth it. To prevent holes, sprinkle them with baby or talcum powder when the gel starts to get sticky. I find it helps to wear them under your tights to prevent sliding.

10/05/2008This is an amazing toe pad! Last year when I was on my first year on pointe, I was using Ouch Pouches and they killed my toe in my Grishkos. My toes went numb and felt like they were going to fall off. Then now on my second year I couldn't take the pain anymore, so I tried skinny dips. They were amazing! I was on pointe for 40 minutes and my toes barley hurt. I could probably have stayed on pointe for at least another half hour. Don't buy any other toe pad. BUY SkinnyyDips!

01/21/2007I used to wear paper towels because most toe pads are too thick under my foot, but I got sick of wasting trees so I tried these out and they are really nice. My only thing is that mine have started to rip under my big toe, but nothing lasts forever, and I can just switch what foot they are on :D

09/09/2006These are excellent. They relieve pressure in all the right areas and still allow me to feel the floor. With thicker pads I feel like my feet are encased, but with these, I feel like I'm not wearing any toe pads, minus the discomfort. DEFINITELY recommend. :)

09/01/2006I love these! They work so you can still feel the floor and the colors are great! Suggestion: Let customers choose what color to order.

08/12/2006These are the best gel toe pads! They let me feel the floor very well, yet offer protection to my toes. Recommended.

Montreal, Canada,I love these! I used Ouch Pouches for three years and it made all the pressure go straight to the outside of my big toes. It hurt so much! Then I got skinny dips and they worked great! These also work well with big jelly tips!

L.a./n.y.c.,I used to not wear pads but I needed to dance longer without my feet hurting. These pads did not make your pointe shoes feel tight, they were great!!!
